Inner Work Library:
2019 - 2026

Read 700+ psychology books

This took five years, and I don't recommend you replicate this level of volume. Not many new ideas were found after the first 450 books, but reading 250 extra books felt like a necessary pre-caution for creating the most comprehensive curriculum online.

Re-read the top 20% (No AI)

The best curriculum requires the best books, there were 200 contenders for the 104 book curriculum.

The best books are worthy of reading twice, and each re-read demanded days at the laptop manually typing and transcribing quotes, highlights and notes into archivally-indexed pdf documents.

My archive is currently 925,000 words: dense, heavyweight, twice the length of the Lord Of The Rings trilogy. Top 20% of the top 20% - all connected together, all manually transcribed.

Work with clients, teach millions on YouTube.

100+ private mentorships, now on hold while filming the curriculum videos - similar story with my YouTube lessons, temporarily on hold, returning to full-force in April 2026.

The Shadow Work Library (2025)

The best full-spectrum shadow work course on the internet.

From zero to 168 members with weekly seminars and 20,000+ messages shared between EU & USA members in 2025 - best year of my life, but the doors are now closed forever.

500+ videos for The Self Integration School (2026)

Where we're at right now, about two years of planning and filming to finish The School while meeting my other responsibilities.

People keep telling me to make my school smaller, but depth requires distance and I'm benchmarking for excellence. Applied psychology, nothing less.

30 modules is the smallest I can justify because I want you reading at least one golden book per week for the next two years.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will the school be opened?

On April 10th, 2026... but I will start 1-1 interviewing prospective students for early-access, launch-day admission on March 6th, 2026 - March 15th, 2026.

Why are you building an online school?

I have three specific visions that I want to share with you.

1) I believe in human potential, and I'm saddened by the superficiality of the internet right now. We need more depth online, and I want to provide you with the resources you need to analyse and integrate your own developmental issues and aspirations in a sincere and enduring manner.

2) I want to nourish your intellectual and spiritual maturation by familiarising you with the most exciting, challenging and credible concepts in developmental psychology, consciousness studies and transpersonal metaphysics; with central emphasis on comparative and mature integration of multiple complex theories from the last hundred years of psychological thought.

3) I want to encourage you to become an empowered individual with an everyday baseline of authentic self-expression as a combined outcome of the two previous intentions, plus the application of holistic health principles, self-educational practises, and well-boundaried lifestyle habits.

What's included in the curriculum?

This is an intense and highly-academic experience, and you'll get access to over five-hundred videos across thirty teaching modules and bibliographic video reviews. Similarly to a masters degree structure, each teaching module is thematically structured around three to five core texts which will be unpacked through theory and practice in lecture lessons and guided exercises.

Do I need to complete the curriculum in order?

No. Each of the thirty teaching modules, with the exception of the first foundational module, is a self-contained experience which encourages specific and immediate action on the topics you care the most about.

There are one-hundred-and-four niche books featured in this school, and the same number of 'bonus books' seeded throughout the curriculum. Many of the more advanced resources require weeks to study, and I don't expect you to make quick progress. Most students will need at least one month to finish the reading for an average-sized module, some will take longer.

I do not expect the majority of students to complete my curriculum to 100%, but a well-motivated student will be able to build a book-per-week reading habit to complete around fifty-two books within their first year inside the school.

Exceptionally motivated students will be able to complete the entire video curriculum and 80% of the reading material within one year, which is a two-book-per-week rate at four to five hours of reading per day.

Can I see the full module list?

Yes, thank you for asking.

P. S. Remember that each module includes a mixture of recorded lectures and guided exercises, as structured around the collected principles from three to five thematic reading suggestions.

It will take you about one month per module if you currently read two or three books per month, which is about the average rate I've seen from students involved with The Shadow Work Library (with the exception of one particularly motivated individual who read all thirty-six books in under six months).

Do you really expect people to be able to study this much?

Yes, I believe that people can do incredible things when they care about what they're doing, and I'm here to champion your capacity to nurture your true focus and true intelligence.

This school is designed towards depth, and I consider it insulting to pander towards our collective normalisation of apathy when you are within reach of far more refined states of consciousness. I've read many university-level teaching manuals and subject guides, and I loathe the idea of benchmarking my school curriculum at the lowest standards of engagement and performance for the sake of profitability and accessibility.

You can read for two hours per day if you stop using your phone so much.

Going slow can be fine, and there is certainly a time for slow reading and re-reading the best books, but this type of intentional study is a world of difference from the average-is-enough thinking which is encouraged in many traditional university settings.

My curriculum is demanding, and it's true that I expect great results from my students because I've witnessed dozens of rapid transformations with my private clients. I've helped many men and women build and maintain a book-per-week pace for four-months at a time when they uphold clear boundaries around substances and social media, which are two of the most obvious drains on inner work.

To speak personally about my convictions, I maintained a consistent five/six hour per day reading habit while building my coaching business and YouTube presence without sacrificing my health or personal relationships. I sleep nine hours per night, work thirty to forty hours per week on clients and content, and have still found the time to read about 700 psychology books over the last five years.

You can read a book per week if you make a two hour per day reading habit.

When you have a deep enough reason to care about yourself, you have a deep enough reason to focus on learning from intellectually nourishing books.

Why is the school admissions only?

I want to build real relationships with real people, and will only admit people who have a genuine compatibility with both myself and the other students.

This school is university-style, but I'm going to do my best to prevent this becoming a bloated institution, which means that I'm choosing to personally interview every student before they're given a secure link to pay their fees and enter into the community.

The Self Integration School is proudly ai-free: no agents, chatbots, or robots pretending to be me. When you message me, you're always talking to me.

It's my hope that a fully personalised process will enhance the quality of group conversations, increase the depth of all student results and minimise preventable drop-outs. It will also prevent my worst nightmare of being trapped in a series of live calls with unmotivated individuals who don't care about reading the books or actively working on their issues.

How much will the school cost?

Admission fees start at £3300 if you're joining the school for the pre-launch, early-bird period from March 6th, 2026 - March 15th, 2026.

Your £3300 admission fee includes: 1) Instant access to the entire video curriculum. More than five-hundred pre-recorded lessons and exercises, including all future updates. 2) Your first twelve weeks of Friday and Sunday seminars - these seminars run for a minimum of two hours, sometimes more, which makes at least 48 hours of formal contact hours during your first three months inside The School.

After your initial admissions period, and the completion of your first twelve weeks of live coaching, you will then need to pay a recurring £550 tuition fee every twelve weeks to maintain access to the 2 x per week live seminars and private members community (this includes posts, discussions and private messaging with other members and myself).

Time-limitations on the quarterly tuition-fees are intentional, as I believe they keep the initial admissions price low for people who want to make massive progress within three months, and likewise grant you the option to take a one-semester per year break from the community if you want some time to study alone for a few months without feeling like you're wasting money.

Note: Admission fees start at £3300 as an exclusive early-bird incentive, but this is a temporary promotion for motivated action-takers only. The standard price of £4400 will take effect on April 10th 2026, the public launch date.

You can likewise expect an admissions increase to £5500 in a) December 2026 or b) when we've achieved 100 active members. I'm running a layered-launch for the first year of The School, opening the doors in waves so I can build a coaching relationship with new members and minimise the stampede effect - the £5500 true price will take effect once the community has grown to a certain magnitude - better to get involved sooner rather than later.

Additional note: Remember, you can pause your quarterly £550 tuition fees at anytime without losing access to the pre-recorded video curriculum, which is a one-off payment as part of your £3300 admission fee. If you choose to not pay your £550 tuition fee at the end of any twelve-week teaching block, then you will be temporarily suspended from the community platform, which includes access to seminars, posting, and personal contact with myself. You can pause your studies for one semester per year, and resume your tuition when ready by sending an email to support@jordanthornton.com

Can I work with you 1-1?

Yes, I offer private coaching to a small number of people per year. Click here on Mentorship for an extensive services description and ideal client criteria.

It would be my pleasure to get connected.

My vision for Self Integration...

If you join me inside this school, you should expect to become:

1. Autodidactic & Autotherapeutic

While the school is not a substitute for formal therapy, your educational exposure to several dozen psychological traditions and therapeutic modalities will encourage you to become broadly competent in your ability to navigate the width and depth of human psychology on a truly full-spectrum basis.

This is a massive and comprehensive curriculum, and most students will make significant advances towards resolving the underlying issues beneath a broad range of symptomatic problems including anxiety, depression, addiction, dissociation, and relationship challenges, to name a few common themes.

2. Higher-Tier Consciousness

Through your sustained efforts in self-inquiry and critical engagement with recommended reading, you will significantly develop your cognitive and spiritual maturity to a noticeable degree during your time in the school.

Your results will likely be in correlation with your depth of engagement with your solo-studies and consistent participation in live group seminar sessions, where we will hold each-other accountable in a secure and private community.

3. Holistic & Authentic

You will enjoy a meaningful diminishment in self deception and a tangible increase in your physical, emotional, creative, and professional expression as a result of your multi-year transformative journey. Your little lies and unlived potential will be revealed with compassion and respect as part of my intentionally intense and time-saving approach to self integration.

My curriculum is psychologically demanding, but you will ultimately emerge feeling healthier, happier and more completely yourself.

4. Self Educational

The ideal student will feel inspired to move beyond content and community to create a self-structured learning arc which takes maximum advantage of at least several dozen transformative books from the one-hundred-and-four book golden curriculum.

This isn't a formal university with exams and assignments, which allows you the freedom to study for the sake of studying. I encouragement discernment about your study path, and the freedom to ignore modules which don't interest you.

During your time in the school, you should expect to develop lifelong learning habits including: critical research skills, long-term focus, and the very special ability know when to stop studying and do something useful for other people.

Community-focused learning

Constant pressure. Intense conversations and unwavering accountability. This is the place for collective wisdom.

Accelerated progress

I want you to stay ambitious, and push the limits of what you can change in two years.

500+ video lessons

You won't watch them all.
